“As a forest school kindergarten teacher and an outdoor enthusiast I have felt strongly about cultivating an environment that fosters spaces where nurture meets nature.

My love for nature sparked at a young age exploring the creeks and foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains and has since translated here to Chattanooga. I appreciate the simple, yet awe-inspiring landscapes and feel as though I am connected to my surroundings in a deeper way. Years ago I decided that if I truly loved these spaces and wanted them to last I would need to nurture them the way they nurtured me.

Being a forest school teacher has taught me the importance of sharing my nurturing passion for the outdoors with the next generation. Advocating for a cleaner and healthier forest/community that not only we are proud to call home but for our kids to call home. Becoming a board member of Green Steps is personally a merging of passions for the great outdoors as well as a day to day lifestyle and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty, cleaning up our city!”
